Protect the world’s most threatened habitats—and the incredible wildlife that depends on them. Your support helps conserve rainforests where biodiversity is richest and most at risk.
Rainforests are some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth, home to countless species found nowhere else. They regulate climate, store carbon, purify water, and support local communities—but they’re disappearing rapidly due to deforestation and development. Conservation Allies works with trusted local partners across the Global South to protect these vital habitats, from Colombia’s lush tropics to Madagascar’s unique rainforests.
Trusted local partnerships: We empower on-the-ground conservation experts who know their forests best.
Highly efficient conservation: 100% of donations go directly to projects, making us one of the most effective rainforest conservation organizations in the tropics.
Proven impact: Over 12 million acres of rainforest protected and more than 3,200 endangered species safeguarded.
Give today and your gift will be matched by our Board, doubling your impact—every dollar goes directly to critical rainforest conservation projects.
As some of the most effective conservation groups on the planet, our partners are critical guardians of endangered forests and wildlife throughout the Global South.
Brazil
Restoring Brazil’s Cerrado and rainforest ecosystems in the Peruaçu River Basin
The Peruaçu River Basin in northern Minas Gerais lies where Brazil’s Cerrado savanna meets the Atlantic rainforest, creating a unique mosaic of habitats. This transition zone supports extraordinary biodiversity and acts as a vital water source for ecosystems downstream, including the Amazon and Atlantic rainforests. By restoring springs, reforesting riverbanks, and protecting these forest corridors, Instituto Ekos Brasil helps preserve one of South America’s most important lifelines for rainforest resilience and climate stability.
Philippines
Protecting Mindoro’s Rainforests and the Critically Endangered Tamaraw
Mindoro Island in the Philippines is home to the Critically Endangered Tamaraw, a dwarf buffalo species found nowhere else on Earth. With fewer than 600 individuals remaining, the Tamaraw is threatened by habitat loss, poaching, and disease. MBCFI protects this unique species and its tropical rainforest habitat in Mounts Iglit-Baco National Park. Through scientific research, community education, and close collaboration with Indigenous communities and local stakeholders, MBCFI restores habitats, protects endangered species, and promotes sustainable practices that benefit both people and nature.
